Beautifully illustrated story that makes me fall in love with the movie a little more (if that is even possible!). Highly recommend to anyone who is a fan!

Gorgeously illustrated novelization of the movie gives you another reason to fall in love with this story all over again if you‘re already a fan or, perhaps, to watch the movie for the first time as I did. (One of those “How had I never watched this” moments.) Grimly‘s illustrations are fantastic & this fun Halloween story about a curse, a talking black cat, three witches, & young love makes for a really fun read (or read aloud).

I‘m sure I sound like a broken record but it‘s another gorgeous—sunny and 66 degrees—day perfect for reading on the patio. This weather is so unusual for November—the chance for snow this weekend is much more like it—the only thing to do is have some hot apple cider and start a new book!🌞🍎📖

Did I buy the deluxe novelization of the movie because it is illustrated by Gris Grimly? You better believe I did! I mean look at that cover. Love, love, love his art!

While this novel kind of felt like it was tripping over its feet in the beginning, it really took hold later on. I‘ve watched Hocus Pocus so many times, I was reading the novel using the voices (and songs) of the movie. Overall, I really began to enjoy it. And the illustrations? Absolutely gorgeous! I wish there were more!
