My little bookworm got out in the 2nd round of the District Spelling Bee today. Our district has 1,000 third graders, and she was 1 of 11 kids who made it!

Last night she was SO NERVOUS she was in floods of tears, and she was jittery this morning, but she did it anyway. She got bangle correct, and alderman incorrect.

And now after school she gets a huge ice cream sundae from The Screamery as a reward for bravery. 🙂

Kaye Great job ! Brings back memories. In 8 th grade I made it to Regionals. I was out with about 8 kids left. The word that got me was N I B L I C K . I had no clue how to spell that. It‘s some sort of an iron headed golf club. I‘ll remember it if I ever need to spell it again, which I probably won‘t. 5y
