With her irresistible stage mother (Harvey Fierstein, 2003 Tony winner for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical) at her side, she attempts to win the heart of the local heartthrob and integrate "The Corny Collins Show" at the same time.

This is such a fun read! as a musical theatre fan I loved getting to read the script and find all the small stage direction moments that help make this such a good piece of theatre. Also Penny is a dream role of mine that I hope one day I can portray.

How I spent my evening. So very blessed to have such a talented group of kids performing right down the road. My niece was in the pit but I loved every minute of this.

I took a #24in48 break this evening to go see a local high school‘s production of Hairspray. I don‘t know any of the kids but I feel proud of them all. It was so good.
