What a delightful retelling! A farewell love/hate letter from one of the brides of Dracula to the monster himself. Fast-paced and well-written, dark, sexy, and brutal, just the way a Dracula story should be.

I can see why people don‘t like this type of writing style, but for me I really like this. A long letter, stream of consciousness, epistolary type of book.
It‘s also got themed of abuse, possession is a form of mental abuse and even the undead can be hurt.

A goodbye letter to Dracula from one of his wives Constanta. The whole book I felt she had an immortal life with no life to truly live....until her final farewell to her beloved husband.
*What I took from this book is to never let anyone hold you back from living a beautiful life, we only get one!*

This was a unique read. A vampire gothic horror with a bit of polyamorous love story. However I would not classify this as a romance as it does not exactly have a HEA. Very good on audiobook! 4⭐️

Told from the POV of Constanta, one of Dracula‘s brides, we see the obsessive, controlling, and cruel nature of Dracula over the span of centuries. This is not the portrayal of the vampire as a romantic anti-hero. This is Dracula the monster.

This book was beautifully written. I‘ve already ordered another book by Gibson. CW for abuse, especially verbal and emotional.

Really enjoyed this take on Dracula's brides from their perspective, a tale of possessive love and escaping its crushing bond. Queer, polyam, and Gothic.

I don't know if they really fit the tone, but I love these dancing skelos.
