The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish | Lil Miss Hot Mess
7 posts | 5 read | 4 to read
Playing off "The Wheels on the Bus," this nursery rhyme book from a founder of Drag Queen Story Hour is a fun, freewheeling celebration of being your most fabulous self. The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish encourages readers to boldly be exactly who they are. Written by a founding member of the nationally recognized Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH), this playful picture book offers a quirky twist on a classic nursery rhyme by illustrating all of the ways to "work it". The story plays off "The Wheels on the Bus" as it follows a drag queen who performs her routine in front of an awestruck audience. A fun frenzy of fierceness, this book will appeal to readers of all ages.

Super cute story about drag queens swishing and shimmying through town to add some color and fun to the day! It‘s read/sung to the tune The Wheels on the Bus. I also watched Lil Miss Hot Mess read her story in YouTube. I wish parents would stop trying to ban all the books. This one was brought up last month #pop22 ~ A book with an onomatopoeia in the title

So I already did H for #bbrc #atoz but I couldn‘t NOT read this once I found it! This is so fun! Written by one of the first to host a Drag Queen Storytime, this vibrantly illustrated story is set to the tune of “The Wheels on the Bus” and shows the queens spreading color and life amid the boring grey neighborhoods.

My book haul from a local indie the other day. Two for me and one for my new niece. I hope she likes vampires! 😉🤣🤣
