Find Them Dead | Peter James
6 posts | 6 read | 2 to read
Roy Grace, creation of the award-winning author Peter James, unearths a powerful criminal network in Find Them Dead. A Brighton gangster is on trial for conspiracy to murder, following the death of a rival crime family boss. As the jury file into Lewes Crown Court, twelve anonymous people selected randomly from fifty, there is one person sitting in the public gallery observing them with keen interest, and secretly filming them. Later, a group of the accuseds henchmen sit around a table with the full personal details of each of the twelve jurors in front of them. They need to influence two of them a jury can convict if directed on a 10-2 majority verdict but no less. But which two? When Roy Grace is called in to investigate a murder that has links to the accused and the trial, and the suspicion that an attempt has been made to intimidate jurors, he finds the reach and power of the accuseds tentacles go higher than he had ever imagined.

Another good one in the series. A bit different to his usual books as it‘s set in a courtroom a lot of the time. Still very enjoyable

A classic Ferrari imported with drugs hidden inside it and the mastermind apparently, is a respectable defence lawyer. He says he's being framed but someone is also trying to influence the jury to not convict. They will not stop at even murder or blackmail to achieve their goal. Roy Grace has to find the murderer before the trial ends and justice can be meted out.

Finally got to start the latest in the brilliant Roy Grace series, book 16. As always this was an excellent read but felt a bit different, initially we find Roy working in London, and there didn‘t seem enough of him or of his team, and the team meetings which are the real strengths of this series for me. However despite this I was hooked throughout and wanted to continue reading. Left on a real cliff hanger so now need to wait a year!
