Another female poet whose language is incredibly expansive and whose diction is so precise! Moore reminds me of Sor Juana and Sylvia Plath; intelligent and introspective in a way that elucidates the outer world.
Not all her poems resonated with me but they certainly all command respect.

Where do I go from here?

I think Edmund Spenser may be the next poet for me- The Faerie Queen, perhaps?

I find Moore has a way of describing the mundane moments of natural life so that they become sublime.

Cummings has a poem to/about Marianne Moore so on to her we go!
To all the librarians cringing- I usually just read over the side of the tub! 😁 I really need a good relaxing soak though- I've had over a week of on and off headaches and I've had enough! It's also meant a distinct lack of reading/being on litsy.
