A super sweet friends to lovers romance set in Penny Reid‘s book world. Levi and Joss have been best friends for years even though Levi has had deeper feelings for her from the beginning. He knew Joss wasn‘t ready for anything more as she was getting used to using a wheelchair as the result of an infection. I loved seeing them awkwardly move from friends to lovers. It was as uncomfortable and funny as you‘d expect and so sweet too.

It‘s love at 1st sight for Levi when he meets his best friend. She‘s recovering from an illness that left her in a wheelchair, and doesn‘t want to worry about romance. 5 years later, she starts developing feelings for someone else, & he realizes he has to put himself out there before it‘s too late.

If you want a frothy romance, then this is for you. It just wasn‘t for me. There was no conflict, and the characters were cute, but flat. 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑

Charming and sweet, this book features a unique and welcome perspective and a wonderful HEA. I highly recommend this to romance readers and I look forward to the next story in the Donner Bakery series.

Another busy week done and with a wedding weekend ahead, I‘m looking forward to something charming and sweet. Looks like this may fit the bill!

If you are a fan of the Winston Brothers and Knitting in the City series, you‘ll love Baking Me Crazy. It was the perfect book to kick off the spinoffs of Pennyverse. Be prepared to fall in love with Joss and Levi(hopefully they show up in another book). I‘m so excited to see where the Smartypants Romance Authors take us next.
