A fellow Litten (can't remember who haha) reviewed this one not long ago. I've been trying to read more graphic novels and this one sounded intriguing, so I got it from the library. In the end, it wasn't for me. The artwork wasn't really my style, and the way the cats turned into creepy looking cat-people when they were alone kind of weirded me out. Still it was an intriguing story and a fast read. It was originally published in Japan and reads⬇️

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) “backwards“ so what we would normally consider the back cover is actually the front... which the library apparently didn't realize since they stuck the barcode directly onto the title 😂

Book 4/6 for #NovelNovember - I have a middle grade book & another graphic novel that I'm hoping to complete for this challenge, plus staying on top of ol' Moby-Dick & Northanger Abbey!! I might make it!! @Andrew65

This was a fun graphic novel with a light mystery. I love the idea of a bunch of cats living in the Louvre and having the run of the place and the grounds at night. It was cool to get some art history in with the story. I love that one of the cat characters was a Sphynx ❤️

Thanks for the loan @Eyelit !

I really ended up enjoying this even if ended up being more emotional, but I am a pregnant crazy cat lady after all 😆. The book is in manga format but has a French illustration style. This follows the lives of the cats who live in the attic of the Louvre, as well as the few humans who know of their presence. There's magic and imagination and loss, and of course Snowbebe (on the cover)

Eyelit Such a good one! 4y

Surreal, charming, and bittersweet. Just what I needed this evening. If you like cats, art, and magical realism, you‘ll more than likely enjoy this enchanting tale.

ju.ca.no seriously - cats, art and magical realism? I need this in my life. 4y
Zoes_Human I just brought this home from the library, but I haven't started it yet. 4y

No #bookreport this week because once again Netflix took over my evenings (#noregrets) - but I definitely need to make some headway in the stack pictured. Two are for book clubs I‘m in. One is borrowed. One is for a buddy read here. Bottom two are just for funsies (and sadly most likely to be picked up first, lol). I‘m very curious to what I‘ll actually read this week cause it‘s been an unpredictable month. 😄 #weeklyforecast

Soubhiville Cats of the Louvre! Tell me more! Where did you find that? 4y
Eyelit Fairly certain it‘s a total #blamelitsy book. I added it to my holiday wishlist sometime last fall and it was one of my Xmas gifts 🥰 want to borrow when I‘m done? @Soubhiville 4y
Soubhiville I would love to check it out. That‘s a great gift for you 😊 4y
Eyelit @Soubhiville just finished it this evening. Really liked it. Will bring along with Locke & Key Friday for you to borrow 4y

This unusual story tells of what happens in the Louvre at night with cats who live in the attic and get tangled with an old man who believes his sister is inside one of the paintings. It‘s a little confusing to start, but then quite sweet and sad. #bbrc #yeahbaby #catsnap

🇫🇷 Louvre + 🐾 Cats = 💗

Did my daughter and I choose this impulse buy because of the cover? Why, yes, we did! Beautiful artwork in this graphic novel and the cover feels like a canvas.

This was a bit odd but enchanting. The art was beautiful, although I found the human forms of the cats a little weird.

This is a good book.

Probably read the first 2-3 chapters to make sure you can understand the art style, though

I went to the bookstore at my new house!(!!!) I'm not done moving yet, but nearly all of my books are in a container & my PC isn't set up yet... gotta pass the time somehow! The book under Rori is a compilation of haiku. #CatsOfLitsy #manga #scifi
