Well, I certainly think a lot of Edgar Allan Poe‘s characters are 👻 haunted 👻 if only by their past actions. Plus, Crimson Peak one of my favorite movies (the set, the costumes 💕).

Clwojick I just added Crimson Peak to my October movie list, I‘ve never seen it before. 5y
CoffeeCatsBooks @Clwojick Oh, I hope you like it. I think it has such a great Gothic atmosphere. 5y

Gorgeous edition that belongs to my 13yo. In my house we follow the spanish and latino tradition of the 3 wise men. In january 6th, they bring the kids presents just like Santa on Xmas morning. Since they already get Santa's gifts as well, these are just a couple of smaller things: a book and some snacks. My son got this one last January and its amazing. Now I'm ready to share some stories with my 10 yo, who's hounding me about it. #scaretober

It's #tbrTuesday, so I thought I'd post my to-read books for October. Add to this some audiobooks and I'm almost overwhelmed just thinking about it. But I can do this, right? Wish me luck Littens!

Eyelit You got this! Great selection, too! 8y
Alma Yes you can!😎 Good luck! Interesting choices by the way :) 8y
ValerieAndBooks Nice! And I like the mirror end table!! 8y

PurpleyPumpkin @Eyelit @Alma Thanks for your support! You guys are great. 😉 8y
PurpleyPumpkin @ValerieAndBooks 😊 It's amazing just how difficult it is to take a picture without being reflected in the table. 8y
ValerieAndBooks True! I should understand because our house was built in 1980 and one entire wall of the dining room is mirrored, it's tricky trying to take pictures in there (think Thanksgiving etc) without an automatic selfie happening too! 8y
PurpleyPumpkin @ValerieAndBooks Mirrored anything always seems like a good idea until you want to take pictures. Oh yeah, and see the dust. Yeesh! 8y
ValerieAndBooks Ha! Still like that table...come to think of it it'd fit right in at my place 😉 8y

Oh Poe, you shall always be one of my favorites. Pretty covers are one thing, but the illustrations from Harry Clarke are untouchable, by far.

Another wonderful edition of a book I found while scouring the stacks at work. My favorite is The Tell Tale Heart. Not quite sure what that about my personality... 😬

adverse I love Harry Clarke's illustrations! They are so creepy! 8y
J.Isgriggs I completely agree!! It was as if Harry Clarke created a visual replication of Poe's mind. You just don't get that type of emotion in illustration anymore. I adore my copy 8y
