My family (not me) hiked the top of three of the seven mountains around Bergen yesterday. It was rugged, exhausting, and beautiful.

Texreader @brit91 I‘m scared of heights as well. They had lo take a cable car to the top of the mountain to start the hike. Besides being unable to hike 10 miles because of my bad back, those things scare the living daylights out of me. So a big nope! 5y

Bergen Harbor today. You can see a small cruise ship in the distance center-right. Bergen attracts enormous cruise ships (dwarfing the one you see here), I‘m told sometimes three at a time. There was one such enormous cruise ship in the harbor when we arrived in Bergen, and the crowds to match. Today is much nicer.

Texreader @Jerdencon If he loves the outdoors it is perfect for him. Yesterday my family (not me) did the 10-mile hike over the top of three of the seven mountains around Bergen. It was tough on my boys, even though they do a lot of hikes, but they loved it. They went sailing, too. In Trondheim they kayaked. Probably some way to do that too in Bergen. In the winter, lots of skiing opportunities (but it is dark most of the day). (edited) 5y
