EadieB @Tove_Reads He has a new book coming out this November called Never. It's on NetGalley. 3y
Tove_Reads @EadieB I don‘t get those books from NG 😩🤷🏽‍♂️ 3y
EadieB @Tove_Reads I was declined too! 3y
Andrew65 I can‘t see it on Net Galley. Please with my acceptances from Net Galley recently which has included Jeffrey Archer, Ann Cleeves, David Baldacci, Karin Slaughter, Nicci French, Richard Osman, and Colson Whitehead. 3y

4 - it‘s been many years since I‘ve devoured a Ken Follett novel, and this one did not disappoint. A great start to picking up more fiction this year!

Nobody can cause an earthquake... can they? FBI agent Judy Maddox is assigned to investigate a group that can trigger earthquakes. Seismologist, Michael Quercus, tells her it is possible for an earthquake to be caused deliberately. Judy must find out who is responsible before another tremor strikes. Follett delivers a state-of-the-art suspense thriller that keeps the pages turning with unique characters and an exciting plot. Highly recommended!

Tove_Reads Next up The Third Twin! 5y
EadieB @Tove_Reads Looking forward to it for October. 5y
Andrew65 Think I still prefer his historical fiction standalones. 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 I like all his books! 5y

What a unique book this was. A group try to blackmail the authorities by setting off earthquakes if they don‘t do what they ask. This was a good read, once I got into the book, how could it not be when it‘s written by the great Ken Follett - can he do any wrong. However I think I prefer his standalones which are in the historical fiction genre. Despite this I do recommend this book.

EadieB @Andrew65 Nice review! I finished this today too! I enjoyed it too! 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Thanks. Almost impossible not to enjoy his books. 5y
Tove_Reads It‘s weird how versatile an author can be. I enjoy his modern time books, but he is at his very best writing historical fiction! Next up is The Third Twin. 5y

It‘s September so starting the next book in the #KenFollettBuddyRead which I am doing with @Tove_Reads and @EadieB
Others are more than welcome to join us, this is very low key and informal, with each person reading it at their own speed and to their own schedule.
This will be my audiobook for the commute next week in the first week of the new term.
Hopefully it will be as great as the other books we have read.

Tove_Reads Would Ken ever let us down? 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Hopefully not. 🤞 5y
Tove_Reads Been desperately looking for it today. Turns out I‘d turned it upside down and therefore totally confused myself. I feel so smart at the moment. 5y

EadieB @Andrew65 At a family picnic today so will have to start it tomorrow. @Tove_Reads 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB No rush as likely to be reading it most of this week. @Tove_Reads Enjoy the family time Eadie. 😊 (edited) 5y
Melissa_J I know I read this one, but I can‘t remember a thing about it! 5y
Crazeedi I haven't read this(I don't think). I'm going to look for it 5y
Andrew65 @Melissa_J Can often be the case with some books and others stay in your mind so strongly. 5y
Andrew65 Priest certainly doesn‘t seem to be working out as the intelligent criminal mastermind. At 48% and enjoying the book, although wasn‘t convinced by first 10%. @EadieB @Tove_Reads (edited) 5y

So light, so few pages, can it be a Follett? I still want to read it (immediately), but will wait until September. Doesn‘t my raspberry kombucha look good? The best drink ever!

TrishB It does look lovely ♥️ 5y

These are the only 2 books that I felt like throwing across the room. I really despised both of them. The plots were lacking and the characters were downright unlikeable. I can't get rid of The Hammer of Eden b/c my Mom inscribed it when she gave it to my hubby as a gift. She loved Ken Follett, but hadn't read this piece of 💩. And for reasons unknown, I still have The Bridges of Madison County. Yeesh! #day5 #photoadaynov16 #threwitacrosstheroom

UwannaPublishme Bridges...ugh. I think I still have it around too. 😄 7y
ReadThisBookYall Totally agree about Bridges. I will never forget my vote for Worst Line Ever when they're having sex and he yells out, "I am a peregrine!" What? Ah, yes, the always-erotic. . . Bird. ? 7y
