I am loving these comics! The art is perfect and it‘s nice to spend more time with the Firefly gang. Th we stories aren‘t just fan service- “Better Days and Other Stories” offers compelling tales and character development. Even though these comics are written by different people, this collection flows together nicely with a shared Whedony zing. Now I want to watch the show again.

Something has been playing on my mind and I've been wondering if I should post about it or not. But I think I should as I know you all will be supportive. At my eye appointment on Saturday my optician noticed scars in my left eye. She thinks this is something called PIC and has referred me to an eye clinic. She believes the infection is no longer active but it should be checked and monitored. I stupidly googled it and now I have discovered it ⬇

laurieluna Can lead to sight loss. I already have poor sight in my right eye. I know I should wait until I get an appointment at the eye clinic to see what they say, but as always, I'm being typically human and worrying about the worst case scenario. Cheering up needed. Thanks everyone. Xx 6y

batsy It's perfectly understandable that you're worried. I hope you are able to get a better idea of the diagnosis once you make an appointment at the eye clinic. It's so stressful not knowing and worrying 💛Sending you lots of positive thoughts 🌻🌞 6y

quietlycuriouskate Waiting for clinic/hospital appointments is horrible: all the worry and what-ifs. I hope it is all resolved quickly. Wishing you calm and good health and all the best generally. 6y

LiteraryinLawrence Of course you would worry! But a little information can be a dangerous thing (though I always look up symptoms online and get freaked out too). Try to wait for the professional to tell you what‘s going on. In the meantime, sending love and calm thoughts! 💜💜💜 6y

laurieluna @everlocalwest @AmyG @batsy thank you all. Think I need to develop a Vulcan mindset! Need to call thr GP tomorrow us discuss the referal then it can be up to 3 months before I get seen. So I really need to keep myself calm and focused if I have to wait that long! 6y

KathyWheeler I understand why you would google, and, believe me I know it‘s hard not to worry, but you won‘t really know anything until you see the doctor. And the words, as you stated them, are “can lead to sight loss,” not “will.” Sending you positive thoughts. (edited) 6y

jpmcwisemorgan I know it‘s hard but I recommend waiting to hear what the eye clinic tells you. I agree with @Scurvygirl that if it was urgent you‘d not have to wait so long. It‘s going to be ok. Let us distract you! 6y

My Friday night in: getting back into the Whedon world with some Serenity comics. Pairs great with absinthe.
Better Days didn't quite live up to the TV show for me, but it was great to spend some time with these characters. The gang stumbles upon an unexpectedly large pile of cash and gets to spend a day living it up. Until things go wrong...
