Now this was definitely more my taste! Joss Whedon with a futuristic slayer novel! Too be honestly, I didn‘t know it was a slayer graphic novel when I got it, just that it was Joss! This was great. A futuristic world where Melaka doesn‘t know she‘s a slayer and a watcher comes to tell her she‘s the chosen one. And then you are in for a wild weird ride.

I love this graphic novel. It is one that you don‘t need to be a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer show to understand it either. The art is amazing and the story just grabs you. This was a re-read for me and it kept its 5 star review on Goodreads

Took the day off today, so I'm catching up on graphic novels and kitty cuddles. #catsoflitsy

Catching up on #30daysofreadathon! Day 26/25: #shortstories and #comicscraze! Some of my favorites. (Obviously I love folklore or fairy tale retellings for short stories!) Fables and Sandman are two of my favorite #comics series, but new series like Monstress, Paper Girls and Ms. Marvel have been really good too!

This is my first #publishedinthe1990s pick for today, because I love Fray! Fray is set in the distant future with the first slayer in a really long time. She's been called because the need has re-arisen, and her Watcher is a monster with a dismal past. Recognize her scythe? 😍 The storyline for this was really great! Better (don't hate me) than where Whedon went with the Buffy comics after the show. Lots of recommendations! #photoadaynov16

Once upon a time I got the original Kindle Fire and bought a bunch of graphic novels. Turns out I really didn't like reading them on that little screen... Fast forward a few years and I have this fancy iPad for work - just remembered about the graphic novels! You really can't go wrong with Joss Whedon and this first panel is already promising.

Love the slayer vs slayer comparison study at the end of the comic!!

I'm not that far but can I say the future slayer is such a badass!!!!! And on a girly note...I thought her hair is so cool!!!

Really enjoyed a look into the future of the Buffyverse! Hopeful for more Fray in the future, to good of a series to only do one story arc!
