Through poetry we tell the world who we are, where we're from, what we love, what we think, how we feel, and why we hope. Tell the World is a stunning collection of poems by teens who have taken part in workshops run by WritersCorps, a national alliance of literary arts programs for youth. Their words represent the thoughts, hopes, and dreams of teens everywhere, offering both insight and empathy.

Hey all,

I don't know if any of you remember, but last year I was reading a lot but couldn't tell you anything because it was a special project. Well, see that graphic, the Illinois Authors Project. That was it. (we actually call it the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author Project). I was a judge! It was so much fun, even when it was frustrating.

I didn't know the winners until just now and I will share them next.

Finding a secondhand book with notes in it (or the cuss words marked out like my Natchez Burning book😜) is my jam, so this is right up my alley. I've never participated but I'm stoked about it. I don't have any real life Littens to recruit, so feel free to join me in Group A. I can promise snarky comments and some foul language. Hop over to @suvata 's page or #lmpbc to see the details and find the link to the SignUpGenius. Thanks @suvata

ErikasMindfulShelf Just joined you! This is my 2nd time. 5y

GlassAsDiamonds @LeeRHarry Author - Horatio Clare in the tagged and (though the plot has moved to West Yorkshire, last night he was on his mothers farm in the black mountains 😊😊😊😊). Favourite Aussie author: Kerry Greenwood and Emilia Bresciani in a dead heat. 5y
LeeRHarry @GlassAsDiamonds I love Kerry Greenwood - I hadn‘t heard of Emilia Bresciani but The Raw Scent of Vanilla sounds interesting - I‘ll be checking that one out 😊 5y

I became a writer because I am a reader.

I wanted to be able to create worlds the way other authors did in books.

Fantasy is definitely is my prefered genre

✨Anyone else working on a certain story of theirs wake up in the middle of the night with ideas flowing? That was me last night! I think I finally have an idea or "question" (I like to give myself a question and build the story around solving it.) that FINALLY sparks some motivation in me.
✨Off to the library for some research. ?

Louise It's a wonderful feeling when the creative engine kicks into a higher gear! Enjoy your research! 6y

#Riotgrams Day 4, #notebooks. I may have a slight notebook obsession. I found two more after I took this picture.
