I wish I‘d liked this book more, because the idea of traveling the country for a year and a half to visit every vegan restaurant in existence sounds amazing. While the premise is interesting, the story is more of a memoir of moments that aren‘t all related to the vegan food being eaten. I found the trajectory a bit non-linear.

Somewhere between a pick and a so-so. 3.5 ⭐️

This is a #TBR for my #litsyreadingchallenge this year. As a #vegan, I'm lucky to live within 15 miles of NYC, but even luckier to have vegan options without crossing the GWB.

7 years ago, still a new vegan, I took a road trip to South Dakota. One night we stayed in a small town in Wyoming, and visited the pizza place on the Main Street. I had a veggie pie, no cheese. Italian restaurant? Close enough 😉

I was so excited to read this, but it was just okay. Not enough travel and food info, too much maybe-trying-to-be-a-little-like-Eat-Pray-Love. But I did love her description of her time in Portland. It reminded me of my love for it and gave me a great list of places to try when I'm there again! #ReadHarder2016

Disappointingly having some trouble getting into it, but I'm still hopeful!
