#BookCoverChallenge
Day 188.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.

A short little historical mystery set in Russia. It was an interesting story but quite confusing and slow at first, I think at least partly because it wasn‘t really holding my attention on audio. I did quite like the main character, though he seemed quite dense at some points despite everyone constantly commenting on how bright he was. My reading partner was not at all impressed lol #catsoflitsy

Set in late 19th century Moscow, St. Petersburg and London, this brief but captivating novel relates the efforts of a young police detective, Erast Fandorin, to uncover the truth about a mysterious death. Fandorin is an intrepid and persistent investigator, willing to take risks and go undercover, trusting his sharp mind and, frequently, good luck, to save him. I will definitely seek out the rest of the books in this series.

If you want to try a new historical mystery series, i highly recommend Akunin's Fandorin series. Russia pre revolution. It's really, really good.

Monday are usually go go go type of days for me. I really try to take a moment if only 15 minutes to escape. A good historical mystery does it for me. Akunin's series takes me away and helps get through Monday. #survivingdecember
