My hold book came in!!! Can‘t wait to get reading! 🤓

This book was a slow burn and then it became pretty nuts. I didn't expect a paranormal element. I also didn't see the LGBTQ aspect either. I'd recommend it.

A bit disappointing. I was hoping it would be as scary as it was promised to be, but I wasn't scared at all! And I think the author was going for some ambiguity about whether the haunting was real or just in Marianne's head (which I think would have been the most interesting and spooky route), but it didn't succeed. Also: Marianne doesn't take much action and the aimless plot just kind of happens to her. But, cute lesbian romance side plot!

Fully morning here now and I'm nearing the home stretch in my first #readathon book!

At least it's finally starting to feel like morning for the second hour of the #readathon!

I can't believe it's not even light out yet at 6am! Well for the first hour of the #readathon I'm gonna keep going with my scary queer Canadian YA!

Gotta stop reading in bed tonight so I can get up early tomorrow and read in the #Readathon!

The Dark Beneath the Ice is a ghost story including an exorcism and everything! 😳Sooo creepy! 👻I can‘t wait to dive in!

Extra coffee and I get to read this morning.

#Hour18 of #24in48 @24in48 - Nightstand Books 📚

I figured out some time ago that the trick for the nightstand was to keep it clear (lamp, tiny Bluetooth speaker, + coaster, usually with my water on it at my bedside), and to just give my books a tiny little lift right above my #nightstand. Keeps some books close and it looks cool.

My morning started BADLY.
Even tho I was up early for the @24in48 #readathon / #24in48, things went south as soon as I woke up.
The cat box was nasty so had to change that and then all the trash. Then my old dog decided he couldn‘t wait to go outside to pee, and while peeing, my stepson moved him, and pee went all over the carpet. Like, EVERYWHERE.
Decided to remedy things with Starbucks: cute barista winked at me! Then got great mail! 👍🏼

Looks spooky and interesting.
