Book 34 of the year, finished May 1, eyeball

Rule and Lily are in NC to finalize Rule getting legalized custody of his son. Doesn't take but a few pages though for the couple to stumble upon a whole mess of worse than usual Death Magic and Lily is on the case to figure out what's happening and how to stop it.

This is not my favorite. IDK what it is about book 5 in a series but that's usually the one I could do without.

I love this line.

Enjoying the sunshine and a cold drink while Smallest Child and the dog play in the sprinkler.

Lily and Rule are in North Carolina getting custody of Rule's son when a creature begins taking people over and making them kill others. While Lily is trying to solve the crime, Rule is dealing with his son's mother and the Leidolf clan that has become his responsibility.
