so-soI don't think it's very realistic for babel to not have done research on the planet and their moons before trying to conquer it. I get the theme of the book. I just find the lack scientific inquiry in a company that focuses on science, discovery, and yes the militia, very disconnecting to the plot.
1. Schools here in Wisconsin are closing March 18th and reopening April 6th. It will be an interesting couple of weeks helping the kids it‘s their school work.

pickSecond book in this series and it‘s great. A little more sci-fi then I usually go for, but it‘s done really well. Basically, in the future a company has discovered a substance on another planet that has infinite uses. The problem is that they‘ll only allow children to go. Emmett, the MC is just a normal kid from the poorer streets of Detroit. His life changes and not all for the better. Great read!

pickFinished the second book in the Nyxia series on the plane ride home from Mexico. It was a good read for the 4 1/2 hour plane ride. Lots of action and a few twists. Good sci-fi, teen lit that can be enjoyed at any age. Both my son and husband finished all three books. I think I will go ahead and start the last one tonight. Good night everyone!

Jones (Narrator) brings humans & Adamites/Imago to life. The richness of his voice lends depth to male & female characters alike....
The book is also great. Reintgen has written deeply flawed & human characters who earn your greatest sympathies. I continue to be impressed w his imagination & where he takes us -- to a distant galaxy far far away, yet to a place that can be as familiar as your own neighborhood.

Whenever I‘m reading (or listening to) a Nyxia book, all I want is more Nyxia. The writing and the narration are both so compelling. And phrases like this... I love them
pickThis was a great book with some twists and turns. I like this book because of the different types of things. This book had a substance called nyxia, this substance was mined from a planet that is about to die. This substance was used to make weapons of all types I rate this book 10/10
pickThis was almost a so-so for me. It was not as good as the first book, but the story still sucked me in and made me wish that the third book in the series was already out! It reminds me of the Hunger Game series and I enjoyed how easy it is to get into.

Picked this one up at the library tonight...I still need to read Nyxia, but this cover was so gorgeous I couldn‘t pass it up! Now I‘ll have an excuse to move Nyxia up my TBR 😁
