I‘ve been reading so much from this author, but I‘m hooked on these books! 😂 This book was so different from the others in the series and so good. Instead of a mainly singular duel type battle so apparent in YA, this has a full out war. It was just so good at showing that wars are won by armies not single people. Still so much magic and as usual plot twists and still SO GOOD!!

So this book is written a different way than the past ones, it‘s a parallel story about Chaol. For those who don‘t know, Chaol‘s captain of the guard til he got a crippling injury and went to powerful healers. That‘s where this starts. I‘m glad SJM split the 2 books because so much happens I would have been really confused if it was all 1 book. She made me care for a character who wasn‘t really main before. Overall really well written and AMAZING!

So I just finished this book and tbh I‘m in the biggest book hangover I‘ve had since finishing Harry Potter or Percy Jackson. I‘ve been reading a lot of Sarah J Maas books, this one was AMAZING. The plot!!! So well planned out since the beginning of the series and so unexpected!! Character development and nearly all my favorite ships came to fruition. Fabulous!!!

This is the second book in this series and I think it might have even been better than the first. After the huge events in the first book, Feyre has PTSD. I really don‘t see characters being effected by things that would scar most of us and (though I personally luckily don‘t have PTSD) I thought it was portrayed well. There are new layers, but I kind of reread the first book and you could see it developing. Great follow up!

To be honest, I think some people might really like it, but it‘s just not my cup of tea. It was pretty unsettling and there‘s definite representation, but the plot was slow moving. I don‘t know if the idea was for the narration to be kinda detached, but it was. I read about half the book, but put it down. Just not really that great in my opinion.

I‘ve reviewed one of the books by this author in another series but this one is completely different. Great fantasy environments, characters, and plot. It follows Feyre, a girl born in wealth though now her family is in poverty. One day she kills something hunting she probably shouldn‘t have and is brought behind the Wall, to the lands of the Fae. Over all really great and so different than her other series but the same awesomeness!

Yet another sci-fi 😂 This is also a sequel and a well done one. It takes place in post apocalyptic America. After floods decimated the east coast, the west seceded to become the Republic of America and the east was called the Colonies. Though it‘s too bad she didn‘t have the guts to put in a plausible reason for floods (cough global warming), it‘s pretty cool seeing communism right up against excess capitalism. I love the characters too!

Second book in this series and it‘s great. A little more sci-fi then I usually go for, but it‘s done really well. Basically, in the future a company has discovered a substance on another planet that has infinite uses. The problem is that they‘ll only allow children to go. Emmett, the MC is just a normal kid from the poorer streets of Detroit. His life changes and not all for the better. Great read!

This is book 4 in this series and honestly I love it to death. I‘ve been reading this series on and off (the library can‘t get them fast enough) but I had the plot real ingrained in my memory, which is kind of hard for a book to do. The plot was super unexpected and suspenseful. Lots of twists (wait for the one at the end)! Super fun to read and I can‘t wait to get the next book!

Final book in the series and a great finale! Carried on the attention to detail and human characters. Stakes are raised and more political subterfuge is introduced. Honestly, it‘s plotted out really well and its super hard to write smart characters. In this book everything‘s pretty frantic at Hunter HQ and they need everyone. As I said before, the book didn‘t disappoint!

Second book in the series! I recently reviewed the first. One thing I didn‘t say was how great the world building was. There are monsters from all folklores, though slightly changed. All the people act like humans and the MC is shown not being strong all the time (something I wish I saw more) Also, no love triangles, but still a little romance. This isn‘t as much a review of the book but I didn‘t want any spoilers! I would recommend it!

Read this book a while ago and I still love it! It‘s a post-apocalyptic US where after a lot of chaos monsters from mythologies broke into our world. 200 years later and everyone has recovered but no one is really safe. Hunters aided by Hounds (otherworldly creatures) try to keep everyone safe. The book follows Hunter Joyeaux Charmand in her adventures from a mountain village to the largest city in the US. Great and refreshing book!

Absolutely LOVE this book! Just reread it (again) and it‘s always just as good. This author also wrote another series in this same universe, but these events happen almost independently. A Netflix series is coming out sometime soon and I‘m very excited! This book follows Kaz Brekker in an incredible heist. High stakes and high rewards and a colorful cast. All is in 3rd person and switches perspectives. Great lgbq representation as well!

Book 3 in this series. Love the characters, all are very well rounded and dynamic. The main character is Celaena Sardothien, though the book transitions to different people‘s points of view. There is a lot of magic and the Fae- though a different interpretation of them then the traditional stories. Rebellion brews and weapons unleashed. Loved reading this, finished in a day!

First review on this site! The basis of this book is that there are 12 planets, one for each zodiac sign. Each of the planets‘ people align with the zodiac personalities (more or less). All ‘zodiai‘ can foretell things from the stars. The book centers around Cancer Rho stopping a mysterious danger. The lore is amazing and the subplots could be a little better. There is some violence and suggestive things. Nothing explicit and good book!
