This is book 3 of the Stage Dive series and the first book in this series I have read. It worked well as a stand alone and the plot was good. I liked that the plot was not only plausible but worked so well with the characters. Looking forward to read the rest in the series. Hopefully from the beginning.

These two books have a couple things in common.
First, they fall into the genre of contemporary romance. Both of the male characters in these two books are musicians. Both of the male characters struggled with addiction and had someone do an intervention.

I loved this story. In fact out of the three I‘ve read so far I think this one might be my favorite! Fast paced and romantic while dealing with the topic of addiction and recovery. Highly recommended!

Unpopular opinion here, I know, but this one didn't work for me. I LOVE Jimmy and Lena. They are both awesome characters. I love both of their strengths, how hard she works to support him and how hard he battles his addictions. I just didn't love the execution. It was too long and there was too much emotional whiplash. I wanted them to work together more instead of continually hurting each other in the name of "doing the right thing" or whatever.

flip58 The story involving the bass player was my least favorite. He was a jerk. 7y

EloisaJames I loved the book but I see what you mean...the wedding scene was a little over the top. For me, the characters were so strongly realized that I would follow them anywhere. 7y

LauraBrook I just finished the first one a couple of days ago and really liked it. Was going to try and stretch out the series, but maybe not. 😊

MarriedtoMrT @flip58 I have no interest in the Ben book. Pregnancy stories just don't do it for me in general but the glimpses of Ben possibly toying with Lizzy during Lead make me even less likely to pick it up. 7y

(3/3) And then because really I'm more about the broody heroes and because I love the assistant trope (though this is a different version of that trope) I bought this one. And it is also great but I'm honestly exhausted after two late nights reading, especially after daylight savings, so I'm putting it aside for a moment while I catch up on sleep. Jimmy and Lena deserve my full attention. Kylie Scott has moved from don't buy to almost auto-buy!

I challenge you to read the first two pages of Lead and not love the heroine. She keeps her composure--and stays snarky and funny--in extreme circumstances. A rock star romance between a lead singer getting off drugs and the fierce, plump, non-fan who falls in love with him despite herself.

drokka I thoroughly enjoyed this series and a spin-off that starts with Dirty. The female lead in this one is great and she does veggie pizzas! Mal is my fave character of all though 7y

flip58 Play featuring Mal is my favorite. I loved Dirty. I didnt love Lick, the hero was too much of a pain. But Im addicted to Scott. I even love her kinky zombie erotica. 7y

Sarahreadstoomuch @Boghunden the first one is called "Lick" - it involves the guitar player in the band. Then "Play" - drummer, this is about the lead singer and the last one "Deep" is about the bass player 8y
