The Written World is the last book I cataloged in my #LibraryThing db, so thought I'd mention that LT is how I first heard of #Litsy, when they acquired it. This is why I'm experimenting with #littendom. Intrigued to see how they incorporate the 2...i can think of several neat features that would work btwn the 2...

mab-solenne Oh, and The Written World is really really interesting with many important things for a bouquinette to know! 6y
mab-solenne If you dont know LT, i was just describing to someone else so will share here 2: LT lets you catalog, sort, see rarity/popularity of things in your collections. You can also export, create your own OPAC (public catalog), and use the app as a barcode reader for checkouts. I'd rec for amateur librarians, pretty serious boom owners, or even insurance. And also good convos, few ads/weird comments, good giveaways, and really good recommendations. 6y
mab-solenne And free for 200 books, or $25 one time for unlimited. Not bad if u want to take care of a couple bookcases' worth (or more) that you know you'll keep or maybe eventually donate as a unit, or if you just want to document all the amazing collecting you've been doing over the years. I mean i like it. 6y

Isn‘t this beautiful

Page55 I hoped this would be a great read. Maybe it‘s better as an audio book 6y

From reviews, looks like this has a couple of historical booboos, but it's enjoyable to read and includes some texts I know virtually nothing about.

After my last read being kinda eh, I had Breakfast help out picking the next one. He cuddled very patiently like this while I fussed. #BunniesofLitsy

Dug into this one delightedly, anyway. It's rather literary in style, telling stories of how stories came to be recorded, but I am enjoying it. It's made me really want to read The Tale of Genji.

Clare-Dragonfly Aww, what a sweet cuddle bunny 😍🐰 I'd be interested in your thoughts on Genji! 6y

I loved this book! But keep in mind I also love history and World literature. I imagine this book as a kind of ethnographic literary study, as Puchner visited the countries where the foundational texts had been written or evolved. The Written World chronicles writing inventions as well as texts that shaped entire civilizations up to the present day. Informative and interesting read that shows the power of shared stories throughout time.

batsy Sounds intriguing! 6y

Book haul! These were waiting for me when I got to my parents' too. Helen Hippo featured, of course. #HipposofLitsy 😎

Lissa00 @Julsmarshall It‘s all in the perspective of the photo. The bottom part of the tree is empty because our kitten has removed the ornaments😹😹 6y
