An adorable book about the changing seasons and a little boys persistence in growing his plants!

And Then It‘s Spring by Julie Fogliano (picture book published 2012) was a book I really enjoyed! I think this book is very cute and I want it in my library. It showed the seasons changing and the persistence of the boy!

Illustration- Last image shows the kid and the animals playing around in the grass and in the garden.

This book would be a great fun read for 1st grade right before spring time. It fun and adventurous.

This book was about winter turning into spring. They child and the animals are wait everyday for it to turn green. The illustrations show the world around them dull and brown and on the last page it is green.

“But the brown isn‘t around and now you have green, all around you have green.”

I like the use of the lines and color, and the use of the whole 2 pages.

I liked the way the book started with more of neutral colors and then as it progressed the colors became brighter. The illustrations went along very well with the words as well.

This picture book lacked depth. The illustrations were nice, but the words lacked attention getting details.

I personally would not use this book in my classroom because I found it to be boring and I don't think it would grab students' attention.

I'm not sure I would use this book in my classroom only because I thought it wouldn't keep the children's attention too long... It is a good book for the kids to see the seasons change and how the weather affects how things grow.

This is a good book for helping the children learn about the seasons. It is age appropriate for young children. I did find it a little boring, and it might be hard to keep the children's attention while reading this book. However, the illustrations were colorful, creative, and detailed.

This is just a delightful book for kids and grownups who are waiting for the grass to turn green. The pictures are so soft and there‘s a patience that comes over me as I remember that once the snow melts there‘s still a lot of brown before the grass turns green. All in good time. A turtle, rabbit and dog are the favorites of Gracie and Leander, but I love the patience of the little boy as he keeps planting seeds and checking on their growth.

This would be a great book to read to students on the first day of spring. It gets them excited for warmer weather and more colorful days.

Genre: Poetry
This book was a perfect book to ready today, since it it the first official day of spring. I love the illustrations and how everything outside goes from brown and ugly to green and pretty.

#MusicalNewYear Day 1: #SeasonsOfLove reminded me of this book that spoke to me. It must be that ‘season‘ in my life, the gorgeous illustrations, the gentle lyrical sparse text, the young boy‘s patience, the dog‘s faithful gaze, or the seeds waiting for spring, I could not really tell.
