This is a must-need in my classroom library, especially for elementary classrooms. It helps young children understand the alphabet better and learn the different letters and where they are in the alphabet. The illustrations are great and I love how the letters pop out of the tree.

This is a historical fiction book about a Civil War hero. She was a woman who wanted to enter the war so she decided to dress as a man for years. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was very interesting because I didn't know a woman was in the actual Civil War back then. The author's notes show real picture of the woman who turned herself into a man to be in the war.

The Boston Tea Party | Russell Freedman

This is a realistic fiction book. The Boston Tea party was a protest of colonists who took over a ship and dumped all of the tea into the Boston Harbour. This was the main cause of the American Revolution. This is a true event that really happened, but some of the characters are fictional and some of the smaller details in the book may not have really occurred. In the author's note, it says no one today can name all those who took part in the BTP.
