"Sexy heroes, strong heroines, intelligent plots, enchanting love stories... Grace Burrowes's romances have them all." -Mary Balogh A MAN WITH MANY TALENTSAs a captain in the army, Colin MacHugh led men, fixed what was broken, and fought hard. Now that he's a titled gentleman, he's still fighting-this time to keep his bachelorhood safe from all the marriage-minded debutantes. Then he meets the intriguing Miss Anwen Windham, whose demure nature masks a bonfire waiting to roar to life. When she asks for his help to raise money for the local orphanage, he's happy to oblige. Anwen is amazed at how quickly Lord Colin takes in hand a pack of rambunctious orphan boys. Amazed at how he actually listens to her ideas. Amazed at the thrill she gets from the rumble of his Scottish burr and the heat of his touch. But not everyone enjoys the success of an upstart. And Colin has enemies who will stop at nothing to ruin him and anybody he holds dear. The Windham Brides series: The Trouble with DukesToo Scot to HandleNo Other Duke Will Do

Challenge 14 of 50: A book with a pun in the title

So, I read a lot of romances and a lot of cozy mysteries, both of which are known for their puny titles. Some personal favorites include the following: Seed No Evil, Books Can Be Deceiving, A Scot in the Dark, and A Rogue of Her Own.

Pickpick

I was really happy when I discovered Grace Burrowes with her Trouble with Dukes (book #1 of Windham Brides). Book #2 Too Scot to Handle is a good sequel. Although I thought the hero of this novel Colin McHughes was pretty manageable as far as love interests go. Really, in this book, it was the English haute monde that was the trouble. Colin's older brother was a bigger brut, if we must split hairs over who makes the more traditional highland hero.

Pickpick

🌟🌟🌟 I really enjoy Grace Burrowes and I already know that I will be picking up the next installment of this series. However, I thought the plot and writing in this were a bit clunky. Not bad, just unpolished. I did greatly appreciate that the relationship emphasized trust and respect above attraction. I often miss that in romance novels. Overall this was solid, but ultimately a little forgettable, which is fine by me.
