January #SeriesLove2023 wrap up, three titles read. I enjoyed all three but am really loving the Little House chapter a day buddy read.

Book three for #JumpStart2023 and first book for #SeriesLove2023

I‘m a sucker for a fun middle grade mystery and this series fits the bill! Set at a boarding school in England during the 1930‘s amateur detectives and besties Daisy and Hazel form their own Detective Society. This is the 4th book in the Murder Most Unladylike mystery series and this time they are out to solve the murder of a classmate.

The 4th book in the Wells and Wong mystery books and this is another winner.

Elisabeth Hurst is found dead. She was the student that ruled the school. The teachers call it an accident. Hazel and Daisy are sure that it‘s murder and start to investigate. They soon find out that Elisabeth collected secrets. Which student had a secret worth killing for?

Another great book in the Murder Most Unladylike series. This is book 4. More murder, more mystery and more fun. I enjoyed reading about how the friendship dynamics are now changing as the girls are growing up. This book was set back at Deepdean School which is not a school I think I would enjoy! I‘m looking forward to seeing how Alexander is incorporated into the next book too.

Starting the 4th book in the series. My 11 year old loves the series and to be honest so do I!!

And good story from this series, this time there is another murder at their school Deepdean. #crimebooks

Just finished the fourth book in the series and it was another great mystery. The Detective Society is back at Deepdean school but things are different and not in a good way. The head girl and her prefects are awful and everyone is miserable until a murder stirs things up and secrets start coming out and shifting the balance of power. Highly enjoyable as always!

I love this cute detective series and this is the next book in the series for me.

I enjoyed the first few books in this series, but I‘ve absolutely loved the last two. Hazel Wong and Daisy Wells are detectives in a girls‘ boarding school working to discover who killed the unlikeable Head Girl at the bonfire. The cases are compelling but much more murder-y than most kids‘ mysteries get, so sensitive readers be aware. Characterization just keeps getting deeper as the series goes on.

I love the Wells & Wong series! Perfect middle grade historical mysteries. This one isn't out in the US yet, but I went ahead and got a UK copy. Lovely! #middlegrade #mystery

Another charming book in the Wells & Wong Series. I really liked this one. If you are a teacher you may want to read this to your students, it adresses some interesting issues of friendships, power and bullying.

This post has nothing to do with the book I'm reading but I wanted you to see this girl at my bus stop carrying her books on her head.

Planning a read aloud curriculum for my school - the first book I read and loved from this pile was Jolly Foul Play by Robin Evans p. Thought it was great - dealt with lots of issues and would be great to read to a class!
