so-soThis book was far too sociological for me. The author did a lot of interviews and research about women in comedy, and I did learn more about that subject. She lost me when she started getting into feminism. I am female and was around when Gloria Steinem started her protests. I respect that. I know women are always treated as second class. I didn‘t enjoy this book, it was too strident.
For multiple reasons and circumstances, I only read four books this month. But the ones that I did read were helpful in distracting me from life and current events out of my control. Hopefully September will be a better month, both for reading and my mental health. 🤞
