#quotsydec17 #letters Love the quote but pic collage drives me crazy, hard to get it right.☺️😛

BarbaraTheBibliophage I use an app called Over for a lot of my graphics. Much prefer it to PicCollage. 6y
Leftcoastzen @BarbaraTheBibliophage I will check that out. Thx for the tip.😃 6y
batsy I finally realised that if you click on the square/rectangle thingy on the bottom left of the Pic Collage app as you're making your collage, it can fit. So you have to click until you get the square, which fits the dimensions on Litsy. I hope that makes sense 😁 6y
Leftcoastzen @batsy Thanks , I will try it out .👏 6y

Pickpick

A thoughtful analysis about how different, and alike, Hemingway and Fitzgerald were -- and how their complicated relationship was such as it was. I wish things had turned out better for each man, but they did leave behind great novels for posterity. This was a library borrow but I'd like a copy for myself eventually.

TheBookStacker Hm very intrigued! Hemingway is my favorite author but I do love Fitzgerald as well. 7y
Jess_Read_This Love love your review! You beat me in reading this and now I'm even more excited to read it! 7y
PurpleyPumpkin I just finished reading Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald and it really piqued my interest about these historical figures. I'll definitely add this one to my tbr. 📚 7y

Jess_Read_This @PurpleyPumpkin I really enjoyed that one too! 7y
ValerieAndBooks @TheBookStacker I think it's worth the read; it also provides a bit of insight in how their work came to be published, etc. 7y
ValerieAndBooks @Jess_Read_This it was your mention of this book that prompted me to put a hold onto it from the library ?. I think it provides a good companion to "Fitzgerald and Hemingway" which consists mostly of their letters. 7y
ValerieAndBooks @PurpleyPumpkin @Jess_Read_This I couldn't get into Z a few years back when I tried it. But maybe now I might! I was surprised to recently unearth this one from my TBR, forgot I had it: 7y
Jess_Read_This @ValerieAndBooks I just stacked that one! It sounds so good. Thanks for the recommendation! 7y
Leftcoastzen It was a great read for me , I think I read it when it came out.I'm amazed at what was going on in Paris between the wars, Great review. 7y
ValerieAndBooks @Leftcoastzen I want to read more soon about the Lost Generation era in Paris! My recent readings focused more on Fitzgerald and Hemingway. 7y

Scottie Fitzgerald, in talking about her father, proposes a two question test in determining alcoholism.

Jess_Read_This Wow. What a recollection. 7y
ValerieAndBooks @Jess_Read_This It's sad, right 😢?! So much if-onlys. 7y
Jess_Read_This @ValerieAndBooks It really is. It just breaks my heart over the loss and like you said, all the what-ifs and possibilities. 7y

Fitzgerald and Hemingway were #attractiveauthors in their own right, but when you add their film counterparts to the mix..... yes please!
