Girls to the Rescue Book #1
Girls to the Rescue Book #1: Tales of Clever, Courageous Girls from Around the World | Bruce Lansky
4 posts | 2 read
In most heroic tales, a helpless young lady waits around for a prince to rescue her. But the spunky girls in this entertaining series are much too busy saving the day to await Prince Charming. These adaptations and original stories from around the world inspire readers to become a new kind of heroine. If you enjoy the stories in this book, look for more fun adventures in the other books in the series. In most heroic tales, a helpless young lady waits around for a prince to rescue her. The tagged series! My auntie bought them for me in the mid 90s and I LOVED them. I‘m sure there are earlier ones but these are the ones that really stick in my mind. @ozma.of.oz #sundayfunday

BookmarkTavern What a cute series! Thank you for answering! 13mo

Still reading Leaving Coy‘s Hill and Silence for the Dead as buddy reads. Also reading Vanessa Yu‘s Magical Paris Tea Shop. Enjoying all of them.

My dad would make up ghost stories and there were certain ones that we would always want him to repeat to us as kids. I also liked the tagged book about brave girls and their adventures.

My desk yesterday at work - they‘re cleaning the office and HR was going to THROW AWAY all these books! So of course I volunteered to rescue them, and then any others found during cleanup. People dropped off books at my desk all day (mostly old Linux or Windows manuals and things like that, but still, they deserve to be saved!)

KrystleTheBookSlayer *Gasp* they were going to throw them away??? Thank goodness, you were there to save them! I could never bring myself to throw away a book, they can at least be donated somewhere. 6y
mcipher @Krystle1 I know!! I was horrified. There were some great books there and in good shape. I lost even more respect for the HR lady in that moment (she was already low on my list of trustworthy people). 6y
Lcsmcat 😮 How could they! 6y

I'm moving and I have already packed all my bookshelves so my #shelfie is just piles of books on my floor! I also had to pack up a ton of my books but I could put them all into storage... Because whether they are on shelves or no just having books around makes me feel better 😊 #aprilbookshowers
