I will admit this one was a little confusing to me. I did not really get what the meaning was to it, but I loved the snarky, tough MC. She was smart and could kick some pretty good ass when she needed to at the end. On to my next "creepy" seasonal read?? ? ?

🌓⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌓 Masterful storytelling that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Priest spends the first half of the book plot setting in a spooky, thrilling manner. Then major plot twist and you need hold on roller coaster style til the end. Ghosts, family secrets, African spiritualism, and threat of death/destruction are all themes. I'm already planning my next Priest read. ♥️

I never, NEVER read horror but picked this up simply because I love Cherie Priest and her Clockwork Century series. This title was fascinating and frightening. Try it if you like horror or even if you aren't sure about horror but the summary appeals to you. I am glad I did!
