Another great G. Heyer mystery. I enjoy the writing and the characters of Heyer‘s novels. They‘re like a comfy chair.

Overall I did fairly well on this #20in4. Hit three of my four goals:

✔️Read for 8 hours (actual time: 11h 32m)
✔️Finish audio
✔️Finish my print book (see above quick review)
🔹Read 100 pages on next print book (alas I only got through about 15 pages ☹️)

I am 30 minutes away from a second audio finish, so I call it a success

This was my first Georgette Heyer, and it won‘t be my last! I thoroughly enjoyed this Agatha Christie-ish murder mystery, with all the trappings: a party at a country house where no-one likes the host and almost anyone could be a suspect. The dialogue was witty and clever, and the heroine was thoroughly likable. I have a few more Heyers on my shelf from a friend whose grandmother was weeding out her shelves...I‘ll definitely be reading those soon!

It‘s a sad day at B&N when I can‘t even use up the last $10 on the gift card. I did get these though. Complimentary modeling provided by Gatsby. #dogsoflitsy #schnauzersoflitsy
