Child of the Phoenix

I love 💕 Barbara Erskine‘s books, and especially these three chunksters. Would most probably make my top 10 books. Hard to choose between these but my overall favourite would be Child of the Phoenix. Just! Good medieval history in these and if you enjoyed The Welsh Princes Trilogy by Sharon Penman I would recommend the tagged book as it has a crossover of a character, but a different viewpoint of the character.

#Rocktober #YouOughtaKnow I love Barbara Erskine's books, but especially her big 3 historical novels - although I would struggle to pick a favourite one out of these three but they would all appear in my top 20 novels. Love historical fiction? Then read Barbara Erskine! You won't be sorry!

Andrew65 @Melissa_J Me too, I also love her other two long ones from this period - The Lady of Hay, and The Kingdom of Shadows. I also liked the fact that Barbara Erskine has a historical connection to one of the characters in The Child of the Phoenix. 7y
