More details about the Hudson Valley Book Trail for anyone interested!!

The original site I found was https://www.hvbooktrail.com but the tote bags have updated and longer lists! Also used this blog for ideas: https://m.chronogram.com/hudsonvalley/local-independent-bookstores/Content?oid=1...

So many goodies to explore! 📚📚📚

What a fun adventure! I was looking for cute indie bookstores in the Hudson Valley in NY and came upon this map: the Book Trail! This shows 17 but there‘s actually 37 bookstores on their list with even more to be found thru other blogs!

I chose 5 to visit and made a day out of it, driving in a big loop from upper Manhattan to the Catskills. Met SUCH lovely shop owners, discovered exciting new titles, and would love to do it again!

Bookwomble Edinburgh is fantastic - lots of bookish places 😊 6y
MicrobeMom Going to Ireland in July. Went to the UK in 2006. Did a canal boat tour in Wales. One of my favorite vacations ever. 6y
EadieB @becky_books Can‘t wait to go to Scotland! 6y
EadieB @MicrobeMom Sounds like a great trip! 6y
JenReadsAlot I love Edinburgh! Enjoy! 6y
CouronneDhiver I‘m going to UK in October... still deciding between England/Scotland/Ireland vs England/France/Belgium/Netherlands 6y
EadieB @CouronneDhiver Probably easier to do Ireland Scotland and England on one trip and do France Belgium Netherlands together on another trip. 6y
CouronneDhiver The UK one would be by land (more relaxed) and the other is partially by cruise ship (more fast paced). I‘m a former travel agent ... sometimes being knowledgeable about all these options is a detriment. 😂😂 6y
EadieB @CouronneDhiver However you go have a great trip! 6y
janeycanuck I have family in Scotland so I‘ve been a few times and love it. We‘re off to Norway at the end of August - Scotland‘s neighbour across the sea ☺️ 6y
EadieB @janeycanuk Norway sounds like a great trip! 6y
Andrew65 Can‘t wait for my holiday in Scotland in July, but main location we go to chopped off on your map on the far north-east tip of mainland Scotland, overlooking the Orkney Islands. So peaceful. My favourite reading spot. (edited) 6y
EadieB @Andrew65 Nothing wrong with my map, that part of Scotland fell off the other day! (edited) 6y
Andrew65 @EadieB Oh no! What am I going to do this Summer? 6y
EadieB @Andew65 Ann Cleeves is paying for them to build a bridge to that part of Scotland which now is another island and the bridge will be done by June 30. 6y
