so-soI think these fun short stories are a great way to introduce biographies into your classroom. With the silly characterure like drawings that are silly and make the book more lively for young readers, this is a great book in class.

I would use this in a future classroom because Disney will always be creating new movies, so children are always going to be interested in those movies and in turn will be interested in learning about Walt.

The choice of subject appeals to children because many children love Disney movies so they might enjoy learning about the man who created all of the movies that they love. Also, in regards to the theme, the author's interpretation represented a fair and balanced approach.
Children would really enjoy this because they can learn about the backstory of how Disney world was created!

This is a great book on Walt Disney, but I'm not sure if I would read it to my classroom only because it doesn't have to do with education or history, and it might make some kids feel bad if their families can't afford to take a trip to Disneyland or Disneyworld.

I think this is so cool to be able to show kids who created their favorite shows and how he got to that point.

A Time Line activity would be fun for 3rd-4th grade. so-soWhen I was thinking about writing a kid's biography of Huey Long I thought it would be interesting to read this following Gabler's exhaustive bio of Disney. It works and kids love these books but I don't imagine a ton of research goes into them. Basically if you lightly fact check the Wiki you should be good to go.
