Good on audible
My favourite thing about this book is Donlea's ability to invoke a feeling of creepy suspense from start to finish. The atmospheric setting and multifaceted characters create a story that pulls you deeper with each chapter....

Another great Charlie Donlea thriller! There was tons of action and a great twist. I do wish that some parts would‘ve been explained further - the ending felt rushed. But the book provided great entertainment and I feel that I gained small insight into the life of a medical examiner.
It‘s a nasty topic (abduction and abuse) but wasn‘t done in a gory way and I appreciate that.

June was another good reading month for me. I rated all Donlea's books 5 stars. This one is no exception. I love that his books aren't the standard endings.
This was an impulse read based on seeing this author recommended. I really enjoyed this thriller that focuses on two teen girls who went missing the same night, but only one comes back. The sister of the missing teen teams up with the returned teen to find answers, and I'm still mulling over the ending.
Finally back at a pool!!
I've enjoyed every book be Donlea. This is no exception. Livia's sister disappeared over a year ago, while Megan, the girl who disappeared the same night was found alive. As a forensic pathologist, Livia keeps expecting to see her sisters body on the autopsy table one day. Megan is a celebrity having written about her experience. But something isn't quite right and Livia is searching for answers, while Megan is searching her mind for her own⬇️
@Crazeedi I received this bookmark and card from you today. I love how you design these yourself. Very clever! Looking forward to meeting you one day! I am mailing these books to you probably on Monday. Thanks to @DarkMina for sending My Sister‘s Bones. I liked it very much and I think you will like it too! My house is almost done being painted. Only two bedrooms to go. Now I need to get my books in order and back on the shelves.

Two girls are abducted. One who returns and one who doesn‘t. The police launch a massive search. Megan escapes but Nicole is still missing. Other girls are now missing and they are sure the cases are connected. A fast-moving page-turner with shocking final twists. I have read other Donlea books and he keeps the reader guessing with an abundance of potential suspects. Recommended.
I PICKED IT! For someone whose only hobby are reading these whodunnits. I am SO bad at picking the killer. I can watch a movie and pick the plot twist from a mile away however books, I‘m always left baffled. I GOT THIS ONE! Pretty early too! So excuse the brag 💅🏻😅 I also loved his other book 👌🏽
I know I'm on a book buying ban, but this was in the bargain bin and it's National Buy a Book Day...also I really deserve it after this week. I'm not sure when I'll actually get to reading this, but it seems to have good reviews, has anyone read it?

Nicole Cutty and Megan McDonald are both high school seniors in the small town of Emerson Bay, North Carolina. They both disappear from a beach party one summer night. No clues to the disappearance are found and hope is almost lost, until ...check out full review https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/blog/the-girl-who-was-taken
This had all the element of a good thriller. There was a strong plot and a creepy story. A lot of really unique characters combined with plot points that were shocking also filled the pages. And at the end, I was pretty surprised by the twist. If you like thrillers, this is a great one!
This is book number 30 of my year. I‘m getting really sick of life mucking up my reading time so I refuse to let anything or anyone interruptt me lol but seriously though I‘m no longer available for social events...my time is all booked ahhh hahaha🤓📖👣
A solid, exciting mystery/thriller. I enjoyed seeing events from the perspective of Livia, a fellow in the MEs office whose sister disappeared a year ago, the same night as the disappearance of another local young woman who escaped. Told as a series of flashbacks interspersing the current day narrative, the story takes an unexpected turn near the end.
I thought I'd figured out who dunnit halfway through, but it turned out to be a red herring!
This was a perfectly fine mystery about abduction (but nothing nearly as exquisite as The Collector or Zombie). Not necessarily a book I would read in print, but as an audiobook it is perfect since there‘s always something happening and it‘s really impossible to get bored or start thinking about other things. Good entertainment!
Finished one (of my two) packed books on the way to the airport. Luckily I had enough time to dash through the bookstore before I get to my gate!
Great book! This was a quick, fast paced book that kept me reading. I will be picking up more books from the author for sure! A definite pick!
My giveaways from a half day at #BookCon. Any particularly catch your eye?
I usually try to use the library instead of buying books, but I could not resist going out and buying this book. My local library doesn't have it yet and I've read good reviews so I decided I just couldn't wait!
This girl was taken away with how amazing this book was! Two high school girls both go missing after a party, a few weeks later one of them returns - but the other is still missing. Is the girl who returned hiding something? Or is she a victim in all of this, who just can't seem to remember anything important about that night ... Woven into this is the story of the missing girl's sister who is studying to be a forensic scientist. SOO GOOD 😍🤓😍

Great book, showcases Donlea as the next big thing in murder mysteries. Fast paced and filled with twists and turns, this book looks at the kidnapping of a high school girl and the reopening of a case gone cold many years before.
Check out my blog, Nebula of Books, on May 9th as it's the featured blog on the book release blog tour!
Enjoying this beautiful Florida weather. Relaxing on my back patio and getting some reading in.
I know I've raved about Charlie Donlea's previous book on here (SUMMIT LAKE, so good go read it) so I was super excited when an ARC for his next book made it into my hands, with something extra too! Gotta love when swag gets added to a mailer! 😎 The cover for this is gorgeous, and the description made me move this to the top of my weekend TBR pile.
