Pickpick

A very intense generational family saga about mothers, daughters, and the men they loved. Steeped in tradition, politics, oppression, colonization, capitalism, and generational trauma.

Day 8 #JubilantJuly #family "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." Lilo & Stitch. ?I'm picking books about ohana or family set in Hawaii for today's prompt. Just because it may seem like paradise doesn't mean there's no family drama.?I had to include a favorite tv family that visited Hawaii too! ??I've posted about some of these ?before but I'll tag them below in case you're building a Hawaii book list.??

To calm my Election Day anxiety, I went to one of my favorite used book stores. I got a few of the classics! And I was so excited to see Shark Dialogues by Kiana Davenport. I've been meaning to read it for years. #bookhaul #tbrpile #tbr

Correction: I did find Shark Dialogues in the catalog. It just didn't come up by searching the author's name, strangely. 🤔

lynneamch Hard to find better than Margaret Atwood. Handmaid's Tale should be read by everyone. 🙂 8y
