Looking forward to moving to Hawaii from Manhattan when her husband gets a new job, Marissa Price views the change as a chance to find herself, save her marriage, and reconnect with her daughter, but her plans go awry when they move into a fixer-upper and her husband announces that he needs time away to find himself. #ReadingResolutions #Flowers 🌺🌸For this prompt, I thought it would be fun to pick books set in The Hawaiian Islands with flowers on the cover. Here are nine--some more floral than others, but all with a little Hawaii vibe.🌺🌴

rjsthumbelina I loved Diamond Head. Great storytelling 6y

DebinHawaii @DivaDiane Hmm... that's a tough one. I really enjoyed all of these but they run the gamut of chick lit to historical fiction to memoir. What genres of books do you like best? 6y
DebinHawaii @Nfergs Thank you! 😀 6y
DivaDiane I read mostly SF and Fantasy, but I also like Historical Fiction, LitFic and memoirs. 6y
DebinHawaii @DivaDiane There's a lot of good historical fiction on here. Molaka'i is a favorite (leprosy, early 20th century) as is Diamond Head (WWII focus). A Little Too Much is Enough is post WWII about a family on Oahu & good fun-very local feel. Waking Up in Eden is a memoir about a woman who leaves the city to work at the botanical garden in Hawaii. I'd start with any of those. 📚👍 6y
DivaDiane Thank you! 6y
Amy4 Oh Molokai was one of my fav books ever! Beautiful read! 6y
