panI wanted to like this twist on Beauty and the Beast, but it felt so bland. No character development whatsoever, plot was predictable, and the story felt very rushed.

so-soBetween a So-so and a Pan for me. In the first 20 pages the heroine pats her bun to check for stray hairs and says "oh, poot" (instead of something offensive like "shoot"?) 2x each, and I was ready to bail. So I skipped ahead a few chapters and ended up hopping around until the end. Eh. This book just isn't for me, though I did like how Ms Lee wrote a slightly different version of the beauty & beast story.
My next book for the #readathon, it's been on my bookshelf since November and now I finally get the chance to read it!
