Inquiring Minds | Tressa Olden
1 post
Rejoin the Parker family in this sequel to Tressa Olden's "Kindergarten Friend." Following the tragic death of his fiancee in the terrorist attacks of September 11, Billy Parker must find a way to put his life back together. He throws himself into his new-and growing-law practice, but things get complicated when he takes on a high profile murder case that's much more personal than he could have guessed. His professional life isn't all Billy has to worry about. His ex-girlfriend suddenly steps back into his life. Not only is it difficult for Billy to uncover her true intentions in regards to their relationship, but she also reveals that she has a child ... and that the child is actually Billy's son. Is his ex's story true? How will Billy deal with a new child, a new court case, and the lingering grief of his loss? "Inquiring Minds" focuses on Billy and the people around him who show him what it is to live again. There's the devout Christian who knows that with God anything is possible. There's an old, familiar detective who will guide Billy through the mucky waters of criminal law. There are so many people who help Billy, but in a way, he is there to help them, too, as all earthly creatures must struggle to make sense life."

5feet.of.fury @Cinfhen Nice! I feel like anything by Shari Lapena has the same bingeability/wtf is this MC thinking vibes, too 😂 but nothing as readable has ruined my mental state like “the manuscript” in Verity 11mo

Vansa Sparkling Cyanide, and Sleeping Murder, by Agatha Christie. Also Murder in Retrospect by her!If she's not already read Agatha Christie. I can't recommend Two nights in Lisbon by Chris Pavone enough. Mary Stewart is the absolute queen of romantic thriller- Nine coaches waiting is one of my favourite books. Also My Sister the serial killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite is wonderful 11mo
