The Quick and the Thread: An Embroidery Mystery | Amanda Lee
8 posts | 14 read | 4 to read
First in a new mystery series that will have readers stitching-and itching for more When Marcy Singer opens an embroidery specialty shop in quaint Tallulah Falls, Oregon, she throws a soiree and a Stitch-In. Soon, Marcy's sign- up sheet for embroidery classes fills up and everyone in town seems willing to raise a glass-or a needle-to support the newly-opened Seven Year Stitch. Then Marcy finds the shop's previous tenant dead in the store-room, a message scratched with a tapestry needle on the wall beside him. Now Marcy's shop has become a crime scene, and she's the prime suspect. She'll have to find the killer before someone puts a final stitch in her.

Wow I really enjoyed this one! (I didn‘t think it would grab me but it did!) The town, cast of characters, and mystery was engaging and intriguing. It had me completely transported while I was reading. I‘ll definitely be reading more in this series!

A fun cozy read- I would like to read more in this series. I liked the setting on Pacific NW, an embroidery background and irishwolfhound for pet. #cbbc #wintergames #teamfestivus @wanderinglynn this point stuff is hard work! You must be working like crazy to keep track!

Mehso-so

I‘d give this a solid so-so. It‘s got the typical cozy main character that needs to get to the bottom of the mystery, the competing love interests, and a pet. I do give it points for being set on the Oregon coast and the needlework theme was a little different. And of course, the title starts with a Q, which is the main reason I picked it up! #LitsyAtoZ #LetterQ
