1. Yes, the research librarians help so much with, well, my research! Also they host events for the local writers community I sometimes attend.

1. 4 or 5. I still use the same card. They offered to give me a new one a decade or so back, but I'm attached to it.

My local library is closing for an undetermined amount of time! Monday is the last day until they relocate to temporary quarters. I‘m very sad about this, although we do have privileges in neighboring towns.
