Oh, Say Can You Say?
Oh, Say Can You Say? | Seuss
7 posts | 14 read
Tongue twisters abound in this classic Dr. Seuss Beginner Book! "Bed Spreaders spread spreads on beds. Bread Spreaders spread butter on breads. And that Bed Spreader better watch out how he's spreading . . . or that Bread Spreader's sure going to butter his bedding." This riotous collection weaves together a wonderment of words designed to twist the lips. Wordsmiths and beginning readers will love Oh Say Can You Say? and treasure tackling these tangled tongue teasers. Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.

I just enjoyed this as an audiobook for the first time ever. This is my favourite Dr. Seuss book, tied with Sleep Book. The audiobook is so great because you can listen to someone else read the tongue twisters and just have a good chuckle. I just wonder how many takes it took to get them all recorded. #DrSeuss #OhSayCanYouSay #audiobook #TongueTwisters

Amandajoy I have a love/hate relationship with this book. I used to have to read this to practice my “s” because I had a lisp. 3y
GingerAntics @Amandajoy that does sound terrible. I‘m so sorry. Dr. Seuss should never be used against your lisp. That sounds oddly cruel. I think I first came to it in choir to help us learn to annunciate and there was a lot of giggling so it‘s got a much happier association. I knew kids who lost their list just being in choir with all the annunciation. 3y

Man these tongue twisters can be difficult. This helps kids rhyme as well as challenge themselves to say the twister. A fun way to help children with speech practice or just to challenge phonetics.
