Grow Up
Grow Up: A Novel | Ben Brooks
3 posts | 3 read | 1 reading | 1 to read
In this bawdy, raucous, and unabashedly frank novel, youth is certainly not wasted on the young Hailed as "one of the most hilarious and well-observed accounts of teenage debauchery you are ever likely to read" by the trendsetting British lifestyle magazine Dazed & Confused, Ben Brooks's Grow Up is a shocking, stylish, and very modern coming-of-age story. As Jasper J. Wolf careens through high school, his list of to-dos includes: get high with friends, seduce the hottest girl in school, and, last but not least, expose his stepfather as a murderer. But as growing up soon teaches him, what he wants and what he gets are often wildly different—and decidedly unexpected.

And I got the #GrowUp list done as well. I picked Red White and Royal Blue as my #LitsyAward winner to finish me up. I see why so many people loved that book.

I now have just 2 books and 8 hours to finish the #BBRC for 19/20. thank goodness they are easy readers. I even have them at home, I just forget to do them. Soon thought, the clock is ticking.

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick If I get to it, RW&RB is my choice for the summer fun Litsy Award Winner square. Also, I'm going to have to research the books chosen for Freezer Book. I feel like Little Women is the only choice after watching Friends. 🤣 4y
LibrarianRyan @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I had a free audiobook so I thought hey why not. But now I know for sure, I do not like Little Women. 😜 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Little Women was a favorite as a kid so I recently reread it. The old fashioned gender roles and such were rough to read, but there were aspects I enjoyed. 4y

Ahh the adult novels #GrowUp. The ones that always take me the longest to finish.

We go for some serious and then some not so serious. As always It's how you interpert the prompts. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what people chose for “Violet, your turning Violet“.

#GrowUp is Strickly for adult books. No YA here please.

Intentions:
1. Look under #LitsyAwards
4. New York Times
6. what book made you make that sound
7. Friends reference

As always, it's up to your interpenetration.
