This is probably the easiest prompt yet for me! Finished this book a couple of weeks ago and found it fascinating - the author grew up during the Cultural Revolution before moving to the US and then France.

I read this book for the letter X on my Author #LitsyAtoZ. I have to say it was quite a refreshing read, & quite a contrast - one person‘s journey before, during & after the Chinese Cultural Revolution. A great memoir if you enjoy memoirs & had a backdrop of music to the book, which is interesting given the aims of the Cultural Revolution. If you are more into music and the classical composers I think you will enjoy this book even more than I did.
