Two boys who did not come into this world as brothers but became the Greenwood brothers...their love of trees, their passions which fueles their actions....130 years of the Geeenwood lineage. Couldn't put this book down til the end. Now I'm hesitant to start another for I just want to hold these charaters close to my heart a bit longer.

Dusted out of Oklaholma, losing family and home, 3 siblings hit the road dreaming of a better life in California. Along the way you'll admire their resilience, their strength, integrity and kindness as they deal with prejudice and differences. This book will pull your heartstrings.

This is not a detective story....its a story about a detective😉 and what a delightful story it is! Well written colorful characters. Fascinating storylines! Can't wait for book of the Detective William Warwick series!

Although I loved the setting, the description of the land with vast and wondrous beauty, interesting characters; I found this story lagging along with no resolution to all who seemed to have disappeared. This story put me to sleep😴 even JuneBug dozed on this story.

If you can get past all the drugs, alchohol and sex...a true representation of the 70's.....this book is really good. I especially appreciated how this gifted author was able to express all the emotional highs and lows of all the characters in this book. ...and how it was all put into songs and music.

I didn't much care for this tale. Some whimsy, some magic, some total nonsense....hard to follow....kept thinking I missed something and had to reread parts....just jumped around a lot.
