Most thrilling Horror story! They're Southern Ladies, underestimated housewives, who meet for Book Club where they read and discuss true crime. When a Vampire moves in on their book club--thats one thing--but when he makes a move on their children...he just never saw it coming!

A Long Petal of the Sea
by Isabel Allende
Spanish civil war 1930s, people forced to flee their homes, their country; setting aside personal preferences, taking action to survive. Beautifully written characters that come to life. Pablo Neruda references were interesting.

Two boys who did not come into this world as brothers but became the Greenwood brothers...their love of trees, their passions which fueles their actions....130 years of the Geeenwood lineage. Couldn't put this book down til the end. Now I'm hesitant to start another for I just want to hold these charaters close to my heart a bit longer.

Although I loved the setting, the description of the land with vast and wondrous beauty, interesting characters; I found this story lagging along with no resolution to all who seemed to have disappeared. This story put me to sleep😴 even JuneBug dozed on this story.

If you can get past all the drugs, alchohol and sex...a true representation of the 70's.....this book is really good. I especially appreciated how this gifted author was able to express all the emotional highs and lows of all the characters in this book. ...and how it was all put into songs and music.
