On a Sunbeam | Tillie Walden

Pickpick

On a Sunbeam is a graphic novel about an alternate universe. The storyline is split between two time periods that explain the past and present. The story follows the main character as she struggles in school with grades and getting in trouble, until she falls in love with a student and they start dating. The other timeline follows the main character as she begins a new job and starts making new friends. The story ends in an epic journey.

A great graphic novel memoir about an ice skater who grapples with bullies, fellow skaters, coming out, and her future. This book was beautifully written and drawn and the story was incredibly honest.

One of my favorite books, The Mists of Avalon explores the Arthurian legend through a female lens. This book is full of magic, political tension, religious differences, and self-discovery. The Mists of Avalon is truly amazing!

Nute A favorite book of mine, too! So well written! 4y

I had high expectations for The Hobbit that sadly were not met. Of course, I enjoyed the adventure that Bilbo and the dwarves experienced, but was left wondering why this book is so popular.

Liatrek I felt the same way! I do love the LOTR books. 5y
sadierutten You do? I was wondering if I should read them since I didn‘t love The Hobbit. 5y
