Pickpick

About that dude that hates women and doesn't understand why they hate him. Fascinating read! No, but really, very interesting use of italics in the subtitle.

First book of 2017. I don't feel strongly about this pick, but am hopeful.

I attended two lectures last year that depricated the Little Masters books, but I love them. The illustrations are lovely!

Why has it taken me so long to read The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao? What have I been going with my life?

Reading for the first time. Mostly lovely and magical if only because it puts my kid to sleep when read out loud.

I was originally going to take a picture of Inkdeath, but realized all the books around it are full of adventure, too. #booktober

This #octphotochallenge was difficult! But overall I felt like the scenes on Captain Shakespeare's ship were better done in the film. In the book it feels unfinished and rushed. The film slows it down and really emphasizes how crucial Tristran's time with Captain S is for his development.

Guess I will make my first Litsy post a #septphotochallenge. so... banned books! Technically, this is my Morrison/Rushdie shelf, but their books have been banned enough it counts, right? And Burn This Book is a collection of essays about censorship, sooooo...

BookishFeminist I need to finally read this book on censorship. Been on my list forever! 8y
Jeanette I knew today's challenge would speak to you, @WhitneyElaine 8y
