I really love Peter Heller‘s books. He has such beautiful descriptions of nature. He is still my fave. (There is also a little Biscuit action in the background)

I think I am officially off my reading slump! Six in a row!
My husband‘s book. I heard about it on Read or Dead podcast and I thought I would try it out.
Start off my reading year with an adventure in Oz.
My hub ordered this from the library unaware that I wanted to read it...I snagged it and it is great so far!
I think I may have broke my reading slump! Thanks to Stephen King‘s The Outsider and Red Clocks!
I read Bourdain‘s Kitchen Confidential years ago and really enjoyed it. I attended an event where her spoke about his experiences and watched his show. I love his perspective. He made me less afraid of trying unfamiliar foods. I have had this on my shelf for years so here we go.
Shout out to Liberty. This is one of the first books I remember her talking about on her podcast. Giving it a try.
Trying out The Sparrow. I have heard so many good things about this book.
Inspiration to run harder? Inspiration to get out in the heat and humidity? Hopefully.
I have been in a huge reading slump. So far so good on this one.
Brushing up my running from the master. (Please excuse cat toys and foam roller in background)
My hub ordered this from TCCL, and doesn‘t have time to read it. I don‘t think I will ever get to finish Fingersmith.
And now for something completely different. It‘s time for a running book. ❤️
I have been looking forward to this book. I have not been able to read this week because my Dad was going through the end of life process and passed last night. It is not light reading but it is important.
I immediately get a library book as soon as I start a 560 pager. Ahh, book problems! I am a slow reader.🙁
Guilty pleasure.
We were unable to make it to #magiccitybooks for George Saunders, but MCB‘s had a few signed editions! Also picked up signed editions for Omar El Akkad and Michael P. Daley.
This book will push my completion of Lonesome Dove off another week. Should be a good read about my Oklahoma home.
