pickIn this years goal to trim down my TBR, I picked this book up from where it‘s been sitting on my shelf for 3 years.
This book was a light, feminist, fairy tale-inspired political intrigue that I didn‘t have to think too hard about. Which is great, because political intrigue books aren‘t my cup of tea. Definitely recommend!
pickOh my GOSH. It has been a long time since I read a book that was THIS GOOD. This is the ultimate book for people who love books. The characters, the story (all the stories, if you know you know). Amazing.

so-soThis book was pretty great! It came out when I was a majority of the way through my pregnancy but if has a ton of awesome information about postpartum as well!

pickThis book was OUTSTANDING but I expected no less from Backman. My favorite part about it is that it was real and honest in a way that has become exceedingly rare. It was refreshing and poignant and wonderful and awful. Warning: contains sexual assault so if you find it difficult reading about that (I certainly did) you may want to wait on this one. I listened to the #audiobook on a road trip. 10/10 #audible
so-soI feel like the first book in this series just set the bar way too high. It doesn't seem to matter what kind of excitement or adventure happens in the books that follow....it just doesn't make me feel as wonderful as the first book did.

so-soUm...so this one, I didn't like as much as the first one. I felt that this one didn't have quite as much action as the last and there was a lot of drama I wasn't a huge fan of. There wasn't enough Gabriel (I love him). It was very much like reading a high school novel as focused as it was on school and boy problems. Still not done, however. Gotta read the next book. Starting...now!!!
pickI have only one word for this book: incredible. I never expected to be so attached to a grumpy, nay-saying old man but this book managed to prove me wrong. It's such a heartwarming read filled with tears and laughter and happiness and sadness. It's an emotional roller coaster in the best of ways. Will definitely be reading again. But not before I read Backman's other two books!
pickSo I'll admit, I definitely chose this book because I played Dragon Age Inquisition and fell in love with Cole, one of the main characters. I have to say, it was a great read! It isn't like some other based-off-game books where the writing is a little off and the facts don't seem quite right. Gaider did a fab job with the characters and bringing the stories from the other games into the book. 10 out of 10!
pickI really liked this book! There was a lot of jargon that Roquet used in the beginning but never really explained, so that was confusing for a bit, but you get the hang of it eventually. Her writing style is really easy to just fall into, it's not fancy, just colloquial and I think that was the best part about it. Really fun story, gonna go read the other 5 in the series now!
